Are You Scared of What Goes Bump in the Night? Watch and Know!

For many of us there is an awkward time of year right after the holidays but before spring break where we are restless. The days are short the scenery is bleak and were just itchin’ in our skin.  We need to have some fun. So lets start a fire grab our favorite blanket and curl up to watch our favorite scary camping movies.

Let’s start with some all time favorite’s.

Friday moviethe 13th (1980)– How can we not love Jason Voorhees. A camper at Camp Crystal Lake who drowned due to the negligence of the camp staff.  He got revenge 12 times…..

Swamp Thing (1982)– After  chemical explosion in a backwaters lab, Dr. Alec Holland has to face that he inadvertently turned himself into a combination of animal and plant capable of adapting and thriving in the harshest conditions.

The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972)– This movie raises the question of weather or not your alone in the woods at night. More of a documentary than a horror flick this movies dig deep into the sighting of  a “Bigfoot” in  Fouke, Arkansas that date back to the

Lake Placid (1999) A gigantic crocodile is terrorizing residents in Black Lake, Maine. Three unlikely character come together to try and stop it only to be diverted by the elderly woman who has been feeding it her cows for years.

Creature From The Black Lagoon (1954)– A strange prehistoric beast is terrorizing the Amazon Jungle. A group of scientists is tasked to capture the animal and bring it back to civilization for study. Grab the 3D glasses for this thriller.

So now that you know what goes “bump” in the night, ready to make those camping spot reservations….Wha ahahaha….(evil laugh)

When you watch these movies please be responsible. While yes they are cheesy, some scene’s might be to intense for young viewers.

  • Cabin Fever! I have never been able to get the scene out of my head where she’s shaving her legs and her skin begins to come off. I’ve been watching horror movies since I was young but that really got to me!

  • Cabin Fever! The scene of the girl shaving her legs and her skin begins to come off – eww! I can’t get that out of my head. I love a good scary movie and have been watching horror movies since I was a kid but that one really got to me!

  • I think Supernatural has done an excellent job of scaring the bejeebers out of my every now and then!! lol Not too much into scary movies but Nightmare on Elm Street always does the trick for me.
